One of our recent favourites was a full wall of floor-to-ceiling wardrobes for a stunning Regency home in central Brighton. The brief: maximise storage without compromising the period character of the room. We designed a set of classic panelled doors with subtle cornicing to mirror the original architecture. Inside, we customised the layout with pull-out shoe racks, soft-close drawers, and adjustable shelving to fit the clients’ lifestyle.
Alcove Shelving That Feels Built-In (Because It Is)
We’re often asked to create alcove units that look like they’ve always been part of the home. For a family in Hove, we recently completed a pair of symmetrical bookshelves and cupboards either side of their fireplace. Actually perfect in every way (so even better than Mary Poppins!). A genuine pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Prompt and clear emails around quotes and availability, on time, well priced, careful, efficient and with great communication throughout. Used Toms Vans for a house move around Bristol. These lads did a great job. Super punctual and polite, good communications, and really helpful with any questions. We had them pack for us the day before move as well which was brilliant, and then on the day were excellent getting stuff moved in where we needed it, reassembling furniture and generally getting stuff done quickly and cleanly. Moving house is horrible (and we had two kids on school holiday in tow as well) but these guys took a ton of the stress out of it. 100% recommend.

Excellent service! The cheapest option we have found for our move, the mover arrived on time, loaded everything efficiently and no pressure on us as I was still packing while they were loading. Fixed price for the whole move, so again no pressure for time, which we really appreciate moving with 2 small children. They were happy to wait for us at the destination point while we would drive slowly with the kids (it didn't require at the end, but again I really appreciate their readiness). Highly recommend!

Just a little update to answer a few questions from customers regarding operation at the moment in regards to the house removals and “Man with a Van” services Tom’s Vans Bath are currently offering.
We are offering House & Flat Removals, packing and “Man with a Van” Services locally and nationally. Despite the Coronavirus outbreak Tom’s Vans Removals have been offering removals services to our customers and we continue to do so. Up until today, we could only offer strictly essential moves, as per the Government guidelines, but as of today, we can now offer our full moving and packing services to all customers in Bath
At Tom’s Vans Removals, we have been sanitising our removals vans after each move, maintaining strict social distancing where possible and using masks. Currently, we are not able to take customers in the van on journeys. When you make a booking I will outline what we will do to ensure your safety and also what we expect you to do on moving day.
European Removals – If you have been planning a move to Europe or you are waiting to move back to the UK, please contact me and I will advise you what to do. The Channel Tunnel is still operating so it’s just a case of checking if the country you’re moving to is currently allowing removals across the border to take place. There has been a lot of relaxing of the rules in the past couple of days and I will research this more today. So please get in touch if you want Tom’s Vans to move to Europe or back to the UK!
